This is crucial for patient safety, as residues can pose severe health risks. Thus, cleaning validation is one of the essential regulatory requirement in the good manufacturing practices (GMP) and it is a requirement in different sectors, especially within pharmaceutical and food industry. The cleaning validation is a critical element especially in the GMP of shared facilities. Successful cleaning validation begins with identifying potential residues and establishing acceptable carry-over limits, based on a thorough toxicological assessment using PDE (<em>Permitted Daily Exposure<\/em>) values or ADI (<em>Acceptable Daily Intake<\/em>) of the critical substance. According to the ASTM standard, the process to establish a Health-Based Exposure Limit (HBEL) is intricate, requiring not only experience but also qualifications from a certified expert (e.g., DABT or ERT).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Support the scientific selection of the most critical substance, in case the cleaning validation is based on the \u201cworst-case scenario\u201d approach.
