I am the founder and Principal Toxicologist at S&C BEST Srl, coordinating the different projects and activities in the area of toxicology. I am the referent for topic related to: REACH, biocides, EU classification and labelling, California P65 expert, food contact materials petitioning, assessment of substances enviromental impact, also for the pharmaceutical field. I do make lectures, presentations and courses on different topics, on customer and or congress organizers requests. I do support occupational higienists, regulatory affais and innovation groups, by providing i.e. guidance in the selection of safer alternatives and suistanable solutions.

I am the founder of S&C BEST Srl, coordinating the different projects and activities in the area of biotechnology. I am the referent for topic related to: improvement of biogas and biomethane production, and use of biotech solutions for different applications. The support consists of consultancies, which could suggest the application of products, also sold by S&C BEST. I do provide consultancies activies towards the development of innovative food, feed and drinks.

I am the referent for all the topics related to pharmaceutical field (including occupational toxicology, evaluation of impurities including nitrosamine and assessment of endocrine disruptors). I am expert of genotoxicity tests, and I do provide weight of evidence strategy and rational in case of equivocal results. I do perform the biocompatibility assessment of medical devices (preparation of BEP, BER and ADME) and in general evaluation of substances from different applications (medical device, cosmetics, pharmaceutical impurities and APIs). I am also the referent for occupational toxicology through the derivation of specific safe levels for workers (PDE, OEL, ASL) and supporting industrial cleaning validation.

I am the referent for matters related to packaging – including leachables and extractables - for different applications (pharmaceuticals, biomedical food contact, cosmetic); evaluation of leachables and extractables from medical devices; evaluation of ingredients for cosmetic applications. As an AIBO-FCE member I am constantly informed and updated on all developments regarding Food Contact Materials (FCMs), including regulatory requirements. I am an expert user of different in silico methods, commercially and non-commercially available; my experience allows me to propose alternative approaches for toxicological studies and select the best evaluation strategy.

I am mainly involved in the Biocompatibility evaluation of medical devices made in materials. Thanks to my prior knowledge on characterization of materials for biomedical applications, I also deal with “Study Monitoring” activities, i.e. activities to assist the Sponsor during the choice of biocompatibility studies to be performed and activities to verify the alignment of the Study Plan proposed by the laboratory with the reference ISO 10993 standard and possible requirements for FDA submission. I am also the referent for the evaluation of nanoparticles and nanomaterials.

Graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies at the University of Trieste, I discovered my interest in toxicology. I am currently doing an internship at S&C BEST S.r.l., with the aim of implementing the knowledge acquired during my studies. With enthusiasm and commitment, I actively contribute to the company's work while acquiring the necessary skills to collaborate effectively with the team in various professional activities.
